I was pretty sick of the whole thing
so I walked out onto the Midtown Bridge
and jumped
but I hadn’t walked out on the bridge
far enough
so when I landed
I only landed in 4 feet of water
losing my shoes and socks getting out
only to wind up on the bridge again
soaking wet and shivering
trying to hitch a ride in the rain
