Meet the 2015 Young Buck winners, selected by Sara Peters! The winning poems will appear in our summer 2016 issue.
DOYALI ISLAM, grand prize winner.
Doyali Islam’s poems have been published in Kenyon Review Online, Grain, and Arc, among other places. Currently, she is undertaking a Chalmers Arts Fellowship to teach herself the basics of parkour and to investigate how this movement practice will change her poetics. For two years, she curated and hosted Conspiracy of 3 Literary Reading Series out of North Bay. She is 31 and lives in Toronto. Find her at www.doyalifarahislam.com
DOMINIQUE BERNIER-CORMIER, honourable mention.
Dominique Bernier-Cormier is a poet and non-fiction writer from Montreal. His work has recently appeared in Scrivener Creative Review, and is forthcoming in The Malahat Review and BookThug's BafterC. He is currently the poetry editor at PRISM international.
MALLORY TATER, honourable mention.
Mallory Tater is a poet and fiction writer from Ottawa pursuing her MFA at the University of British Columbia. Her work has been published in PRISM international, CV2, The Malahat Review, Poetry is Dead, and others.
JOEL VAUGHAN, honourable mention.
Joel W. Vaughan works as a printer’s apprentice in Massey College, Toronto. His work has appeared in such publications as Geist, Vox, and Broken Pencil, among others.

This Fall 2015 issue of CV2 is a collaborative project with The Winnipeg Review celebrating 40 years of poetry and critical writing in Canada.

It's that time of year again! Put your undead poet costumes together and get ready for some sophisticatedly eerie fun.
The 2015 Undead Poets Society Social will be hosted on October 24th at Fools & Horses (379 Broadway). The evening will include readings by local poets, drinks served up by costumed bartenders and music by CRUX. Doors open at 8:00PM and there is a $10 cover (limited capacity) or $15 pre-reserved tickets. (For advanced tickets contact: firstname.lastname@example.org)
